For rides that stretch from sunrise to sunset, the GTC KIESPANZER have plenty of extra storage. With easily accessible mesh pockets to the thighs and lower back, it's simple to grab the essentials you need, even on the go, without needing to rummage around in your frame bag, handlebar bag or saddlebag.
Assos also add highly reflective stripes to the shorts, keeping you visible when your riding days start early before the sun has fully risen, and for when those last kilometres towards your camp or hostel for the night are shrouded in darkness.
Built Tough. And Comfortable.
With a focus on off-road and multi-day bike packing, Assos have used a combination of Type.429 fabric and 'Bunny Hop' side panels. The 'Bunny Hop' panels fit and feel like a regular performance textile, thanks to its woven polyamide/elastane blend, but it's highly abrasion-resistant too, fending off pulls and scratches from trail-side overgrowth.
Meanwhile, Type.429 fabric delivers a snug flexible fit to ensure you enjoy a streamlined and flexible fit. It's also highly breathable, perfect for high summer rides and durable to resist the abuse of countless kilometres on the saddle. And with light compression, helps push back fatigue as your venture further and further into the wilds.
Assos AEPD (Advanced Ergonomic Pattern Design) Regular Fit
Finding the perfect harmony of long-ride comfort and smooth, flexible fit, the Assos AEPD Regular Fit isn't so compressive as their RaceFit but it's certainly not going to slow you down. Tuned for comfort in the saddle and mobility off the bike.
At the legs, the Silicone Leg Grippers are a robust version of their Superlight grippers. These provide a solid hold of the shorts, even across rough trails, and grip without the need for bulky grip applique
MILLE GTC C2 Insert
Tuned for the extra demands of rough off-road riding, the MILLE GTC C2 Insert features the Shock-Absorb Damping Twin system. This consists of MicroShock and FilterFoam in two layers and a total of 19mm of bump-absorbing gravel comfort. An odour-resistant top sheet also keeps you fresher when on the bike.
3D Waffle inserts keep bulk low and allow more air circulation and thermoformed shaping reduces ridges and irritation. The kraterCooler design also sees perforations across the leading edge of the pad, drawing in cool air and boosting breathability.
Lastly, there's the goldenGate. The unique stitching pattern allows the insert to 'float' allowing the pad to move with you for optimal comfort.
