+43 Foam
The most significant technological advancement in wetsuit materials for over 80 years. After tests after tests and questing the norm HUUB have created a material that is lighter and more buoyant. The result? A ground-breaking 43% more buoyant (than standard neoprene foam). Worth waiting 80 years!
Neoprene will always have its place, the Japanese Yamamoto materials HUUB use are perfect for stretch and reach zones. Coupled with HUUB’s design, testing, knowledge and process there really is no substitute, but buoyancy proposes a separate set of needs.
Buoyancy in swimming wetsuits – first came neoprene, then NBR and now there is +43, HUUB say that they cannot wait for you to try it and they’re pretty proud of what they’ve created because “its no longer just about neoprene”.
Graduation buoyancy
Graduated buoyancy profiles around the hips, thighs and lower quads ensures a more streamlined profile in the water, a faster suit and more buoyancy.
Bicep release 360
The original Bicep release assisted correct arm positioning and bicep expansion to allow a natural bent arm state for recovery and catch. Huub have now taken this one step further by also applying this technology to the triceps.
With the use of materials (a more relaxed fabric covering) in both the tricep and bicep areas, it offers benefits for arm positioning through stress of catch & pull and enhances the recovery phase by allowing a more relaxed arm position with high elbow and less swing. With less tension, less fatigue, more comfort and more efficient stroke alignment the Bicep Release just went 360.
M.A.D System Measurement of Active Drag
M.A.D in a nutshell is how much drag am I creating in differing wetsuits, swimskins etc.? Developed in partnership with Innovate-UK the most advanced M.A.D system resides at HUUB’s testing facility partnership in Mallorca with BEST swim centre. How can you make claims without thorough testing, so that is what HUUB do they test what works and what doesn’t.
HD Labs
The in-house development team tasked with one simple brief ‘question everything'.
"It’s what you don't see that makes YOU faster"
Low Neck Line
HUUB know they have the most comfortable neck in the wetsuit industry. They don’t fold and stitch, HUUB refuse to create a tourniquet of rubber to restrict breathing and flexibility HUUB stood alone and will stand by this simple and effective design.
4mm Upper And Lower Body Material Thickness
HUUB's 4:4 wetsuits are for the stronger swimmers who already have a great horizontal position and do not need the redistributed buoyancy of a 3:5 wetsuit. You’ll find perfectly distributed buoyancy to maintain the balance, harmony and efficiency of your stroke technique just as it feels in the pool. Like to use a bit of kick as you swim? No problem, these suits will let you do just that with a smooth natural action.
