Sturdily designed to keep you upright and unrivalled as you tackle the biggest descents, this 290 iteration has racing running through its DNA. A simplified design gives the build a lower weight and stiffens the front triangle, while a more progressive leverage rate for increased mid stroke-support lets the bike pump more efficiently. Sitting higher in the travel and improving cornering control, this well-equipped MTB carries you through every terrain with gusto.
In a move away from the Fallout Linkage of its predecessors, the Dissent's rocker link is now positioned on the outside of the seat tube, rather than tucked inside a clamshell as before. This minimises the frame weight while maximising the front triangle stiffness at the same time.
The suspension platform now uses a push, rather than a pull link, helping to reduce the loads and stresses on the frame, saving further weight and improving durability. The result of this is a frame which weighs over 400g lighter than the Pulse. The Main pivot flip chips are fast and simple to change and offer a tailored factory set up for every rider. Further custom tuning can be done via the new three-position adjustable chainstay which features interchangeable dropout inserts. The chainstay flip chips allow you to alter the wheelbase by 5-10mm depending on the type of track you’re riding, your height or riding style.
This 290 version of the Dissent joins excellent frame adaptability with a custom hydroformed 6061 aluminium tubeset, a 63-degree head angle and a 200mm of travel via the new Dissent platform for a fantastically fearsome assault on the mountain. The centrally-positioned shock and linkage system provides unrivalled handling while other features include a true 1.5” head tube, ISCG 05 mounts and a 157mm x 12mm rear axle to keep your rear end in check.
Coming with a RockShox Boxxer Ultimate fork and a RockShox Super Deluxe Coil Ultimate DH RC shock, no run is too much for this superbly strong steed. Rolling on a set of Mavic Deemax DH 29" wheels and Maxxis Assegai tyres, the bike thrusts you up and down every climb and drop with a smooth and swift SRAM XO1 7-Speed transmission.
A strong and dependable SRAM Code R disc brake system adds unbeatable control and stopping power, making this impressive Nukeproof MTB a force to be reckoned with.Note: Manufacturer may reserve the right to change the specification of that listed or shown on this page.
